Why Is Pixels Rated Pg 13

Pixels is rated PG-13 for mild language and some rude humor. Despite its age the movie has held up surprisingly well and is still entertaining for today’s audiences. The story is about a group of friends who discover a video game console that allows them to control real-world objects. They use their new powers to prank people and cause havoc. However they soon discover that they’re not the only ones with this technology. There are others who are using it for more nefarious purposes. The friends must stop them before they destroy the world.

While the movie is lighthearted and fun there are some moments that may be too intense for younger children. There is a scene where the characters are being chased by giant robots that are trying to kill them. This scene is probably the most intense in the movie and may be too much for younger kids. Overall Pixels is a fun movie that is appropriate for most audiences.
