The art of origami or paper folding is thought to have originated in Japan in the 6th century AD. It is said to have reached China in the 8th century and then spread to Europe in the 17th century. Today origami is enjoyed by people all over the world.

There are many different ways to make a paper frog. In this blog post we will show you how to make a traditional origami frog. This frog is also known as the “sitting frog” or the “baseball cap frog”.

You will need:

-1 sheet of square paper (we recommend using origami paper but you can also use a regular sheet of paper that has been cut into a square)

-Scissors

-A pencil

-Tape (optional)

Instructions:

1. Start with your paper square positioned so that it is a diamond shape.

2. Fold the paper in half to create a crease. Unfold the paper and then fold it in half the other way to create a second crease.

3. Fold the paper in half again and crease. Unfold the paper.

4. Take the top layer of the paper and fold it down to meet the bottom edge of the paper. Crease well.

5. Unfold the paper.

6. Fold the top layer of the paper up again this time folding it so that the edge meets the crease that you made in step 4. Crease well.

7. Unfold the paper.

8. Now you will need to make a series of small folds along the top edge of the paper. To do this take the top layer of the paper and make a small fold down towards the center of the paper. Crease well.

9. Make another small fold next to the first one. Crease well.

10. Continue making small folds until you have reached the end of the paper.

11. Once you have made all of the small folds it is time to begin folding the paper into the frog shape. Start by taking the top layer of the paper and folding it down to meet the bottom edge of the paper.

How do you make a paper frog?

Fold a piece of paper in half lengthwise and crease well.

Cut along the fold.

Open the paper up and fold each long side to the center crease.

Fold in half again and crease.

Open up and you will see 4 equal sections.

Take the top and bottom sections and fold them to the center.

Turn the paper over and do the same thing to the other side.

Now for the legs take the top section and make 2 small cuts about halfway down.

Fold these sections down.

Do the same thing to the bottom section.

For the arms make 2 cuts on each side about halfway down and fold these sections up.

Your paper frog is now complete!
