Parents need to know that the Suicide Squad is a DC Comics supervillain team-up movie in which members of a secret government agency are sent on a mission to execute dangerous criminals. The movie has lots of shoot-outs and explosions and characters are killed (though not always shown on-screen). There’s also a fair amount of swearing (“s–t” “a–hole” etc.) as well as some sexual references/innuendo. During a fight scene a woman’s top is ripped off revealing her bare breasts; some characters are also shown in their underwear.
Despite all of this the movie is actually pretty fun with a great cast (including Will Smith Margot Robbie and Viola Davis) and some interesting plot twists. So if you’re okay with your kids watching some pretty intense action the Suicide Squad is worth checking out.
