In September 2016 it was announced that Strahan would be leaving Live! with Kelly and Michael to join Good Morning America full-time. His last day on Live! was on May 13 2017.
While it is not clear why Strahan is no longer with Fox NFL it is possible that his commitments to Good Morning America are the primary reason. It is also possible that Fox NFL and ABC are not able to come to an agreement on his contract. Whatever the reason it is clear that Strahan is no longer with Fox NFL.
