Jeff Gordon is leaving Fox Sports after 19 seasons with the company. The 52-year-old Gordon will be replaced in the Fox NASCAR booth by Mike Joy the longtime voice of Fox NASCAR.
“I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of the Fox family for as long as I have” Gordon said in a statement. “When I started with Fox in 2001 I never could have imagined the incredible journey I would go on over the next 19 years. I’ve had the privilege of working with so many talented people both in and out of the booth and I want to thank all of them for making me feel at home.”
Gordon’s departure from Fox comes as the network prepares to broadcast its last NASCAR race on Sunday the Truck Series finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Fox will be replaced by NBC as the exclusive broadcaster of NASCAR races next season.
