On March 28 2016 cow chop a group consisting of James Willems Aleks Markovic and Joe Tavary announced their departure from the creatures a gaming YouTuber group. The announcement was made via a YouTube video on the cow chop channel. In the video Willems said that the decision was made because “the time has come for [them] to move on to new opportunities and projects.” He also said that the creatures had accomplished everything that they had set out to do and that it was time for them to “explore new creative frontiers.” Markovic said that the decision was mutual and that they had “nothing but love and respect” for the creatures. Tavary said that it had been an honor to be a part of the group and that he would miss working with them.
The creatures released a statement on their website saying that they “are sad to see cow chop go but we respect their decision and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.” They also said that the group would continue to produce content and that they would be announcing new projects in the near future.
Interestingly the day after cow chop’s announcement the creatures released a video on their YouTube channel titled “The Return of Jack” in which they welcomed back Jack Douglass a former member of the group who had left in 2014. Douglass said that he was excited to be back and that he had missed working with the creatures. It is unclear if Douglass’s return was planned before or after cow chop’s announcement.
It is currently unknown what cow chop’s future plans are but Willems said in the announcement video that they would be announcing their next project soon.

There were a variety of reasons that led to Cow Chop’s departure from The Creatures.
The main reason was that the group was not making enough money to support themselves and their families.
Additionally there was a lot of drama and infighting within The Creatures which led to a toxic environment.
Finally Cow Chop felt that they could not continue to grow and improve as creators if they remained with The Creatures.
