In the early days of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood actor Brad Pitt’s character Cliff Booth had a pet monkey named “Vivo”. The monkey was played by a capuchin named “Crystal”.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter Pitt explained that he found it “very difficult” to work with the monkey because “she’s trained as an actor but also as an animal”.
Pitt said that the monkey would often do things that were not in the script such as climbing on top of his head and that he had to be “very careful” with her.
The monkey also caused some problems during filming as she would often grab at Pitt’s hair and clothes.
In one scene she even pulled Pitt’s shirt off which caused the actor to yell at her.
Pitt said that he considered the monkey to be “a little bit of a diva”.
Despite the difficulties Pitt said that he enjoyed working with the monkey and that she was “a lot of fun”.
