Tiana is a young woman who lives in New Orleans during the Jazz Age. She is a hardworking young woman who dreams of opening her own restaurant. Her father passed away when she was younger so she has had to grow up quickly and take on responsibility for her family.
When Tiana meets Prince Naveen she is immediately unimpressed. He is a lazy spoiled man who is more interested in partying than anything else. However as she gets to know him she begins to see past his facade and into the kind caring man beneath.
Eventually the two fall in love and Naveen asks Tiana to marry him. However before they can wed Naveen is turned into a frog by an evil voodoo doctor. In order to break the curse Tiana must kiss him. However when she does she is turned into a frog as well.
The two frogs then embark on a journey to find the voodoo doctor who can turn them back into humans. Along the way they must outwit several villains and learn to work together in order to succeed.
In the end Tiana and Naveen are turned back into humans and they get married. Tiana’s dream of opening her own restaurant also comes true.
