As a teenager Emma ran away from home believing her parents would be better off without her. She ended up in New York where she met Killian Jones. The two of them fell in love and got engaged.
However before they could get married Killian was kidnapped by Hook and taken to the Enchanted Forest. Emma followed him and they were both sucked into a time portal.
They ended up in the Enchanted Forest of the past where they met Snow and Charming. Emma was shocked to learn that she was their daughter.
After spending some time in the past Emma and Killian were finally able to return to the present. Killian proposed to Emma again and she accepted.
The two of them are currently planning their wedding and are very much in love.
