After years of anticipation the final episode of Peppa Pig will finally air on February 26th. The popular children’s show will conclude with a special one-hour episode in which Peppa and her family say goodbye to their beloved home and move to a new house.
While fans are sure to be sad to see the end of an era they can take comfort in knowing that the series will live on in reruns and DVD collections. Plus there’s always the possibility of a Peppa Pig movie in the future!

The very first episode of Peppa Pig aired on UK television on May 31st 2004. In it we meet Peppa – a lovable four-year-old piglet – and her family for the first time. We also meet Peppa’s best friend Suzy Sheep and learn about the many adventures that Peppa and her friends go on.
One of the most memorable episodes is “The Tooth Fairy” which aired in 2006. In it Peppa loses her first tooth and is visited by the Tooth Fairy. This episode is notable for being one of the few times that we see Peppa’s parents Mummy and Daddy Pig in their human form.
In 2010 the first Peppa Pig movie was released in theaters. Titled “The Golden Boots” the film follows Peppa and her friends as they go on a quest to find a pair of lost golden boots. Along the way they learn the importance of teamwork and friendship.
The final episode of Peppa Pig will air on February 26th at 5pm on UK’s Channel 5. After 10 years we’ll finally say goodbye to Peppa and her friends – but their adventures will live on in our hearts forever.
