In “Ant-Man and The Wasp” Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is grappling with the consequences of his choices as both a superhero and a father. Approached by Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) Lang must once again don the Ant-Man suit and fight alongside the Wasp to uncover secrets from their past.
As the film opens Scott is under house arrest following the events of “Captain America: Civil War”. He is struggling to balance his responsibilities as a father to his young daughter Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson) and his commitments as Ant-Man. Hope and Hank are working together to try and rescue Hank’s wife and Hope’s mother Janet (Michelle Pfeiffer) from the “Quantum Realm”–a place from which it is believed there is no escape.
When Hope and Hank recruit Scott to help them with their mission he is hesitant at first. But after seeing how much it means to them and how it could potentially help him get out of house arrest he agrees. The trio set out to find a way into the Quantum Realm and along the way they are pursued by a new villain Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen).
As they race against time to find Janet Scott and Hope begin to develop a romantic relationship–something that Hank is not too pleased with. However they are ultimately successful in their mission and Scott is able to return to his daughter a free man.
“Ant-Man and The Wasp” is a fun action-packed film that is sure to please Marvel fans. The chemistry between Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly is undeniable and the film’s humor is spot-on. If you’re looking for a summer blockbuster that is sure to entertain this is the film for you.
