On Tuesday March 12 2019 Kat Timpf a reporter for Fox News announced that she was leaving the network. Timpf had been with Fox News since 2015 when she joined as a contributor.
In her announcement Timpf said that she was “grateful” for her time at Fox News but that she was “looking forward to new opportunities.” She did not elaborate on what those opportunities might be.
Timpf’s departure comes as Fox News is undergoing a period of change. In the past year the network has seen a number of high-profile departures including longtime anchor Shepard Smith who left in October and contributor Juan Williams who was fired in November.
While it is not clear what Timpf’s next move will be her departure from Fox News is likely to be seen as a loss for the network. Timpf was a popular figure on Fox News and her departure will no doubt be felt by her many fans.
