The 2019 NBA Finals which were broadcast on ABC averaged 10.9 million viewers while the 2018 NBA Finals which were broadcast on FS1 averaged 2.4 million viewers.
Fox Sports and FS1 have been able to increase their reach in recent years by partnering with streaming services like Sling TV PlayStation Vue and YouTube TV. These partnerships have helped Fox reach viewers who do not have cable or satellite TV.
In 2018 Fox Sports struck a deal with sports betting app DraftKings to provide live-streaming and on-demand content. The deal gave Fox Sports access to DraftKings’ 6 million registered users.
Fox Sports has also been able to increase its reach by partnering with social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
