-1 sheet of black craft foam
-2 small black buttons
-2 large black buttons

First you’ll need to gather all of your supplies. Then cut the following pieces out of the corresponding colors of felt:
-2 body pieces from the brown felt
-2 wing pieces from the white felt
-2 leg pieces from the orange felt
-1 beak piece from the black felt
-2 foot pieces from the pink felt
-1 neck piece from the red felt
-2 hand pieces from the yellow felt
-2 eye pieces from the green felt
-1 egg piece from the blue felt
Next you’ll need to cut a few pieces out of the black craft foam. Cut two 2-inch circles and two 1 1/2-inch circles. Then cut a 1/2-inch wide strip that’s about 12 inches long.
Now you’re ready to start assembling your ostrich puppet! First take the two body pieces and the two wing pieces and hot glue them together. Then take the two leg pieces and hot glue them to the bottom of the body.
Next take the beak piece and hot glue it to the front of the body. Then take the two foot pieces and hot glue them to the bottom of the legs.
Next take the neck piece and hot glue it to the back of the body. Then take the two hand pieces and hot glue them to the sides of the neck.
Finally take the two eye pieces and hot glue them to the top of the head. Then take the egg piece and hot glue it to the back of the body.
Now it’s time to add the finishing touches! Take the two small black buttons and hot glue them to the front of the eyes. Then take the two large black buttons and hot glue them to the sides of the head.
To make the ostrich’s feathers take the black cord and hot glue it to the back of the body. Then take the orange cord and hot glue it to the back of the body. Continue adding the feathers using the white pink red yellow green and blue cords.
To make the ostrich’s legs take the 1/4 inch wide elastic and hot glue it to the bottom of the legs. Then take the 3/4 inch wide elastic and hot glue it to the top of the legs.
