Instructions:
1. Start by cutting out a large oval shape from the piece of cardboard. This will be the body of your ostrich.
2. Hot glue the long sides of the oval together leaving the top open.
3. Cut two smaller ovals out of the cardboard. These will be the ostrich’s legs.
4. Stapler the legs to the bottom of the body.
5. Cut a small curved triangle out of the cardboard. This will be the beak.
6. Glue the beak to the front of the body.
7. Paint the entire ostrich black.
8. Use the brown marker to draw on some feathers.
9. Use the black marker to draw on the eyes.
10. Cut a small oval out of the white felt. This will be the ostrich’s egg.
11. Glue the egg to the underside of the body.
12. Cut a small oval out of the red felt. This will be the ostrich’s wattle.
13. Glue the wattle to the side of the head.
14. Cut two pieces of elastic each about 18 inches long.
15. Tie the elastic around the middle of the ostrich’s body creating loops that you can slip your arms through.
16. Put on the headband and you’re all done!
