First you’ll need to find a suitable location for your cow. Cows need plenty of space to roam and graze so make sure you have a large enough enclosure for your cow. Next you’ll need to build a fence around your enclosure to keep your cow from wandering off. I recommend using wooden fences as they’re easy to break and replace if your cow happens to escape.
Once your enclosure is complete it’s time to add some grass for your cow to eat. Cows can eat most types of grass but they prefer wheatgrass and tall grass. You can find wheatgrass and tall grass in the wild or you can grow your own using seed packets from the Minecraft store.
Now that you have a nice grassy area for your cow to graze it’s time to add a water source. Cows need to drink water every day so make sure you have a water trough or pool inside your enclosure. You can fill your water trough with water buckets from a nearby lake or pond or you can place a block of obsidian in a pool of water to create a still water source.
Now that your cow has everything it needs to be happy and healthy it’s time to add the finishing touches to your enclosure. I recommend decorating your enclosure with flowers and trees as cows love to eat flowers and trees. You can also add some benches and tables for your cow to sit and rest on.
