In order to change the spawn rates of certain Pokémon in Pixelmon players must first access the Pixelmon config file. The Pixelmon config file is a file that allows players to change various aspects of their Pixelmon game.
To access the config file players must first go to the main menu of their game. From there they should click on the “Mods” tab and then select “Pixelmon”. After clicking on Pixelmon a menu of options will appear. One of these options will be “Config”. Players should click on this option and the config file will then open in their default text editor.
In the config file players will see a list of all the different Pokémon as well as their current spawn rates. These values are all set to 1 by default which means that each Pokémon has an equal chance of spawning. However players can change these values to whatever they want. For example if a player wanted Charmander to be twice as likely to spawn as Bulbasaur they would change the value next to Charmander to 2 and leave the value next to Bulbasaur at 1.
It should be noted that players can also set the spawn rates of Pokémon to 0. Doing this will prevent that Pokémon from spawning anywhere in the game. This can be useful for players who want to prevent certain Pokémon from taking over their world.
Once the changes have been made to the config file players must save the file and then restart their game for the changes to take effect.
