Jill Washburn is a veteran news anchor and reporter who currently works for Fox 2 News in Detroit Michigan. She has been with the station since 2003.
Washburn was born and raised in the Detroit area. She attended high school in the suburbs of Detroit and graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in broadcast journalism.
Washburn began her career in broadcasting as a news intern at WDIV-TV in Detroit while still in college. She later worked as a reporter and weekend anchor at WXYZ-TV in Detroit before joining Fox 2 News in 2003.
Washburn has won several awards for her work including a Michigan Emmy Award for her coverage of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. She has also been honored by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters and the Michigan Press Association.
