Start with an idea.
What kind of bag do you want to make? A purse? A tote? A backpack? Once you know what kind of bag you want to make you can start to gather materials. For this project you’ll need:
-Ostrich leather
-Thread
-A sewing needle
-Scissors
Cut the leather into the shape you want your bag to be. If you’re not sure what shape you want look at some pictures of ostrich leather bags online for inspiration. Once you have your pieces cut out use a needle and thread to sew them together.
If you want to add any embellishments to your bag such as a strap or a closure now is the time to do it. Once you’re happy with the way your bag looks cut a piece of ostrich leather for the lining. Sew the lining to the inside of the bag making sure to leave an opening at the top so you can turn the bag right side out.
Turn the bag right side out and sew the opening closed. Your bag is now complete!
