Has Fox News Ever Been Sued

According to a quick search on Google it appears that Fox News has in fact been sued several times. The most recent case that comes up is a class action lawsuit that was filed in March of 2018 alleging that the network violated the anti-discrimination laws by paying women less than men. The case is still ongoing.

Other cases include a defamation lawsuit filed by one of Fox News’ former employees Alisyn Camerota in September of 2020. Camerota alleges that Fox News retaliated against her after she spoke out about sexual harassment she experienced while working at the network.

And in May of 2017 Fox News was hit with a racial discrimination lawsuit filed by 13 current and former employees. The lawsuit alleged that the network “systematically and intentionally discriminated against people of color in both news and business operations.”

It’s worth noting that the network has also been hit with numerous sexual harassment lawsuits over the years. In 2016 for example Fox News settled a lawsuit with former anchor Gretchen Carlson for $20 million.

So it seems that Fox News has faced its fair share of lawsuits over the years. It will be interesting to see how the most recent cases play out.
