It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for De’Aaron Fox. The Kings rookie point guard has been the talk of the town ever since he was drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
And now Fox is making headlines for his off-the-court antics. The 19-year-old was caught on camera this week dancing to the Drake song “In My Feelings” while riding an electronic scooter.
The footage which was captured by TMZ shows Fox lip syncing to the song and doing the now-infamous “Shiggy Challenge” dance. For those unfamiliar the challenge was started by comedian Shiggy and involves dancing to the Drake song while riding an electronic scooter.
While Fox’s dance moves are sure to elicit some laughs there’s no denying that the Kings rookie is one of the most talented young players in the NBA.
Fox proved that during his one season at the University of Kentucky where he averaged 16.7 points 4.0 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game. He also shot a team-best 47.8 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from three-point range.
The Kings are betting that Fox can be their franchise cornerstone and so far he’s shown that he has the potential to be just that.
In addition to his on-court talent Fox has also shown that he’s a well-rounded individual off the court. He’s a self-proclaimed video game nerd and he’s even been featured on the popular YouTube series “Hot Ones” where he took on the challenge of eating 10 progressively hotter chicken wings.
So far Fox is proving to be everything the Kings could have hoped for when they drafted him. And if his off-the-court antics are any indication he’s also going to be a lot of fun to watch.
