De’Aaron Fox was born on December 20 1997 in New Orleans Louisiana. Fox attended Cypress Lakes High School in Katy Texas. As a senior in high school he was named a McDonald’s All-American. Fox played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was named to the Second Team All-SEC in his freshman season. In his sophomore season Fox was named First Team All-SEC. He entered the 2017 NBA draft after two years of college and was selected with the fifth overall pick by the Sacramento Kings.
In his rookie season Fox averaged 11.6 points and 4.4 assists per game. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. In his second season Fox averaged 17.3 points and 7.3 assists per game. He was named an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career. Fox helped the Kings make the playoffs for the first time since 2006. In the 2019-20 season Fox averaged 21.1 points and 6.8 assists per game.
