As you may know there are two types of large semi-aquatic reptiles out there: crocodiles and alligators. Both are similar in many ways but there are also some key differences between them. In this blog post we’ll explore those differences in detail as well as where alligators are found in the world.
First let’s start with a brief overview of each reptile. Crocodiles are found in tropical climates throughout the world while alligators are found in the United States (southeastern region) and China. Both animals are large and carnivorous and they can grow to be quite big (up to 20 feet long in some cases). They both have skin that is tough and leathery and they both have long powerful tails. They are also both excellent swimmers.
