Yes saltwater snails can live in freshwater but they will not do well and will not live as long as they would in saltwater. The reason for this is that freshwater does not have the same level of salt content as saltwater and this can cause problems for saltwater snails. When saltwater snails are in freshwater they are not able to get the same level of salt and moisture that they need and this can lead to dehydration and eventually death.
