Ostriches are the largest living bird in the world and weigh in at around 150-200 pounds. They’re found in Africa and parts of the Middle East and Asia.

The good news is that Ostriches are not yet considered endangered and there are several efforts underway to help protect them. Some countries have banned hunting of the birds and there are also several Ostriches farms in Africa where the birds are raised for their meat and feathers.
With the right protections in place there is hope that Ostriches will be around for many years to come.
