Why Is Batman Arkham Knight Rated M

There are a few reasons why the video game “Batman: Arkham Knight” is rated “M” for Mature.

The first reason is the violence. Although it is not excessively gory there is a good amount of blood and fighting. In addition some of the enemies can be quite brutal such as when they shoot Batman in the knees or beat him with a crowbar.

The second reason is the language. While not constant there is definitely a good amount of swearing throughout the game. This is mostly from the enemies but Batman himself also says a few choice words.

The third reason is the sexual content. There are a few scenes and/or references to sex although nothing is ever shown explicitly. For example there is a scene in a strip club where some of the dancers are topless and there are references to prostitution.

So those are the main reasons why “Batman: Arkham Knight” is rated “M” for Mature. Personally I think it is a great game and would definitely recommend it to any fan of the “Batman: Arkham” series.
