Peppa Pig is a British preschool animated television series created directed and produced by Astley Baker Davies and distributed by E1 Kids. The show features the eponymous pig along with her family and friends. It originally aired on 31 May 2004 and has since been broadcast in 180 territories. As of 2019 the series is in its seventeenth series.
The original voice of Peppa Pig was Oliver May who played the role from the show’s inception until 2006. Rebecca Blake took over the role from 2006 until 2010 when Morwenna Banks became the voice of Peppa. Harley Bird has been the voice of Peppa since 2015. The series has been generally well received by television critics.
The series has been banned in China and Vietnam.
