First you’ll want to remove the toilet bowl lid and set it aside. Next find the auger’s insertion tube and insert it into the toilet bowl. Slowly turn the auger handle clockwise until you feel it hit something. This is the blockage.
Now continue turning the auger handle while pushing the auger down into the drain. The auger will cut through the blockage clearing the way for your toilet to flush properly again.
Once the blockage is clear remove the auger from the toilet and flush the toilet to make sure everything is working properly. If you find that your toilet is still having issues you may need to call a plumber.
